After Paul Stanley shook his ass for my family and me in West Palm,
he was trasported to the hospital because of heat exhaustion. THAT's
rock 'n' roll, my friend. Me? I'm still lounging by the pool. It rained
most of today, and I took it lying down - in a chaize lounge. More positive
feedback is coming my way from my manuscript. Have you marked your calendar
for February 14?

Homegirl wrote 6 letters to a certain less-than-friendly music publisher
this afternoon, but not before spending some quality time with her tan.
And who's the coolest emailer
of all? Today it was Allen Tate, the promoter of the Evansville, IN
KISS Expo. He wrote to tell me to make sure to contact him when my book
comes out. He wants to help me with promotion! Did I not tell you that
Indiana people are some of the best in the world?

My final day at the pool, and I also finished another editorial sweep
through my book. I expect more external feedback soon, then I have to
send it to the big editor in the sky. Scary. Thank goodness I have a
good tan and a toned body from my many hours in the water. In the end,
that's probably what will sell more books than even the best punctuation.
I took a picture of the
house I plan to use as incentive as I sell Won't Get Fooled Again.
My sister/editor
estimates that I only need about $1 million to call the house my own.
I might have to write a sequel.

As I was sitting at the airport today I remembered it was the 1-year
anniversary of the night I met KISS - and
Gene Simmons in particular. So much has changed in so little time...
Thanks a thousand times over to everyone who has supported me on this
journey. I can hardly imagine all that will happen in the coming 365
days.

I'm a little overwhelmed from almost 3 weeks away from work, but I'm
rested up and ready to take on the world.
**
It's now 2:45 a.m. Even
thought I stayed on the East Coast for much of my vacation, I feel completely
jet lagged. I didn't get to bed until 4:00 a.m. this morning. At least
I'm productive. I just formatted all six sets of manuscript pages for
my lyric requests. And, since I'm crazy from my fatigue, I'll let you
in on a big secret -- the lyric requests will be easy compared to the
fictionalization permissions I need. I've just been a little dramatic.
Who knew?
Speaking of drama, Old
Dominion University (where I studied theater) wants me to come back
AGAIN; this time to do training for their administrators. I went there
a movie star and I'm going back a college dean. How did that happen?
I can't wait. I love - LOVE - Old Dominion University.

I'm too sexy for my own website. Check
out the love I received from my day job today.

It's the eve of the Charlotte KISS Expo, and I'm at home working. I
sent in all six of my rewritten lyric clearances last night and I prepared
my big-fat permission request today. It's ready to go as soon as I get
the lyrics thing squared away. At least I have my Evansville Expo memories.
Check out this little Gene. (continue)
